ADVANCED CALCULUS

An exploration of advanced techniques of integration. Applications of integration, including geometry, physics, polar coordinates and parametric curves, are explored. Power series are introduced and applications of approximating functions are given.

Information about differentiation and basics of integration can be found in Basic Calculus.

Information about calculus with functions of several variables can be found in Multivariable Calculus.

The material on this site corresponds with content produced for the calculus program at Iowa State University. We have made this content freely and publicly available to help give students everywhere additional resources for their study (it turns out that calculus at Iowa State has significant overlap with calculus at many other institutions).

Students currently enrolled in calculus at Iowa State can find more information about course management details (syllabus, schedule, etc.) in Canvas.

This site is administered by Steve Butler (butler@iastate.edu) and any questions about this site or its content should be directed to him.

We are in the process of revising this website to be ready for the start of Fall 2020. Please be patient as we prepare for the upcoming semester.

The content for the online version is currently in production with an expected completion date of mid-October 2020.
